Writing on the Wall Presents
Have you ever wondered how to write for social media or create a successful blog? What about learning to write for the gaming industry or becoming freelance? How do you get into radio or music journalism when you feel you may not have the relevant qualifications? Write to Work is not just your regular writing course and offers support with all of this and more.
Writing on the Wall present an innovative 12-week course that helps unemployed learners explore a diverse range of writing skills, help you get a job or explore further education or vocational training.
Increase your confidence and strengthen your writing abilities with weekly sessions ran by published writers and industry professionals, all offering their personal insights and tips for success. At the end of the programme your work will be presented with a beautiful anthology which will be launched at a public event.
Write to Work is a brilliant opportunity to meet and network with like-minded people in a friendly and supportive environment. Developing a wide range of transferrable skills, this course is ideal for everyone, at any level. And best of all, it’s free.
If you are 16 years old and over, unemployed and eligible to work in the UK, what are you waiting for? Write to Work will reimburse travel costs, provide lunch on the day, provide a registered BSL signer and can provide child care costs.
Applications will open in the new year once we have secured extra funding to continue Write to Work courses.
While you’re here check out some of our previous students’ work. Some are already published in flash fiction competitions, the Guardian and local newspapers, they’ve been finalists and runners up in our Pulp Idol competitions or become self-employed proof readers and copy writers. A few have even self-published their novels!
